Nineteen eighty-three
(post-pizza
pre-sushi).
She had to teach
me how to eat:
dipping scales
in olive oil;
flesh stripped
between teeth.
We undressed
the hairy choke -
getting to the heart
beneath.
This all happened
(more or less)
along with
Chardonnay
and sex.
