A drop-in, free workshop for all ages. Save up and bring along your used coffee grounds, it may get messy! All materials provided.
Coffee is one of the world’s favourite drinks, many of our daily activities are caffeine-charged. The world’s largest exporter of coffee is Brazil, so those beans have travelled far by the time they reach our cappuccinos. It seems a shame to bin them when we can build with them!
Used coffee grounds from the on-site cafe and nearby venues will be mixed and pressed to make coffee bricks. In a follow-up workshop, these will be used to construct a waiting-area for the Physic Garden. Learn more here.
Come take part in the coffee construction experiment!
