A DANDELION CLOCK
what time is it mister plumed
ripe by dispersal into
many was the hour
but one the day
it is summer o’clock and the
living are easily ingrown
velocities of emerald
who fluff
their lines all jagged in the green
with gargoyle
jaws a leaf along
each trickledown ecology
stalks purplish verticals as good
as gold can sway amock
when burnishes askew
this nouning earth
holds bitterly corona forth
corollary to what time does
forever go
to war against the now
with worth such everywhere an age
with seed so mote
and myriad it be
the dandelion’s shares
in omnipresence p.l.c.
